Scott Williams joined the FOX 29 team June 4, 2012, as Chief Meteorologist.
Before joining FOX 29, Scott spent three years at The Weather Channel as a meteorologist.
His passion for meteorology dates back to his childhood in South Carolina, when he fought off sleep and stayed up all night watching Hurricane Hugo hit the South Carolina coast. Scott was fascinated by the power of this one storm and knew that weather was the career for him.
Scott graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina State University, where he studied meteorology. A member of numerous organizations including the American Meteorological Society, the National Weather Association, and the National Association of Black Journalists, Scott has earned seals of approval from both the AMS and the NWA.
In his spare time, Scott enjoys listening to an eclectic variety of music, going to the beach, freshwater fishing and doing anything dealing with nature. A self-proclaimed foodie, Scott is looking forward to scoping out the Philadelphia restaurants.
