His sister, Michelle Wilson, got two years of probation.

In the Spring of 2013, FOX 29 Investigates revealed that Miranda had a ghost employee on his staff who was being paid with tax dollars but spent much of his time working at a private garage.

The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office opened an investigation, which led to the indictment of the pair on multiple felony charges.

Miranda later pleaded guilty to a felony count and a misdemeanor.

His sister pled to a misdemeanor.

Miranda lost his bid for reelection.
