COPY-Teenager placed on probation in crash that killed 3 teens

HONESDALE, Pa. (AP) - A teenage girl will not spend any time in jail in connection with a northeastern Pennsylvania crash that killed three suburban Philadelphia teens last fall.

The Bucks County Courier Times (http://bit.ly/1FNBk3A ) reports that the 16-year-old girl was placed on indefinite probation Tuesday in Wayne County Court. She was also ordered to do 300 hours of community service and write letters of apology as well as a 2,000-word essay on the impact of the accident.

The teenager admitted to homicide by vehicle counts in an adjudication hearing in juvenile court in April.

The September crash of the sport utility vehicle in Paupack Township, about 100 miles north of Philadelphia, killed three 15-year-old Council Rock High School South students: Ryan Lesher, Shamus Digney and Cullen Keffer. Three other people were hurt.
