'Love & Hip Hop Atlanta' star indicted for child cruelty

A Cobb County grand jury has indicted a star of VH1's reality show "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" for seven counts, including cruelty to children.

According to the indictment 34-year-old Atasha Jefferson, better known Tommie Lee on the show, went to Griffin Middle School in Smyrna, where her daughter Havali Jefferson is a student, on Oct. 16, 2018.

At the school, the indictment says Jefferson grabbed her daughter's hair, forced her to walk down a hallway, and then shoved "her head into a metal locker." Jefferson also allegedly struck her daughter with a purse strap, slapped her in the face, and screamed profanities at her.

After police arrested Jefferson and she was released before trial on Oct. 17, the grand jury says she violated a condition for her release by contacting her daughter "for the purpose of harassing and intimidating said victim."
