Local middle school student collecting donations for Haiti

It was back in early October that hurricane Matthew touched down in Haiti, leaving a path of death and destruction.

More than one thousand people died and many more were left homeless.

Fortunately, relief efforts are underway!

Troops have helped deliver hundreds of thousands of pounds of rice and medical supplies to the hardest-hit areas.

And many of the roads have re-opened.

But the people of Haiti are not out of the woods just yet.

But one young woman is hoping to change this.

13-year-old Madison Gabriel, is collecting clothing and dry goods to send to Haiti as the people there try to rebuild their lives!

You can visit the GoFundMe page Madison has setup, by clicking here.
