1 Dead in Fairhill Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting on the 500 block of West Huntington Street in the city’s Fairhill section.

The shooting happened shortly after 3 p.m. Monday. 

According to police, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area at that time. When they arrived, they found 27-year-old Spencer Hutchins lying on the sidewalk with two gunshot wounds to the chest.

According to police, the gunman fled on foot westbound on Huntington Street. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It has been determined that the victim was initially shot on the 2600 block of N. 7th Street and ran to 550 W. Huntingdon Street.

So far, no arrests have been made.
