13-year-old boy struck by police cruiser in Spring Garden

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) Authorities say a 13-year-old boy was struck by a police cruiser in Spring Garden.

It happened shortly after 5 p.m. Friday.

According to police, while police were responding to an assist in the area, the cruiser struck the boy. The boy was taken to Hahnemann Hospital where he's in stable condition. There were no injuries to the officer.

No word on how the accident happened.
