DOYLESTOWN, PA (WTXF) - A close vote may not be clearing up confusion over students’ grades in the Central Bucks School District.
Parents have complained about having trouble tracking their children’s educational progress.
There used to be traditional letter grades of A, B, C and so forth. They were replaced with a standards-based system.
Now, parents are seeing letters like M, which stands for Meeting Standards.
Many parents are calling for the entire system to be changed, but FOX 29’s Dave Kinchen reported that can’t happen until September.
Instead, Tuesday night, the school board voted 5-4 to add letters to some of the grades for existing report cards for 5th and 6th graders.
