WILMINGTON, DE (WTXF) - A dog is missing, but not just any dog. The dog’s family is serving in the military in Korea and had been fostered by a Wilmington woman.
Tina Albano had been taking care of Sugar since February of last year and has become super attached to the canine.
She told FOX 29 she went on vacation for first time and hired a pet sitter, but on Monday the dog jumped the fence of her Glover Circle home.
Sugar belongs to a family in the Scranton area.
She is a six-year-old spayed pit bull, weighs about 55 lbs., and is mostly tan with some white on her head.
She’s said to be very friendly and good with some dogs, but she can be nervous with new people.
Faithful Friends in Wilmington suggests people in the area check their garages and sheds, because Sugar may be hiding and trying to stay cool.
If you see her, you’re asked to call Tina at 302-383-0980 or PACT for Animals at 610-581-4141. There’s a $1,000 reward for Sugar’s safe return.
