NJ man indicted for woman's strangulation murder

- A New Jersey man has been indicted for murder, more than eight months after a woman was strangled and left in the woods.

The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office reports Tyron D. Lindsay of Hamilton Township is facing one count of first-degree murder.

It says on the morning of Oct. 6, 2015, Hamilton police were called about a body in Roebling Park off Sewell Street.

Police found the woman, later identified as 38-year-old Jessica Prusik of Hamilton Township.

An autopsy determined she died from by manual strangulation.

Then, detectives identified Lindsay as the last known person with Prusik and said they were together in a truck.

That truck was found in Bristol, Pennsylvania, but it had been caught on surveillance the day Prusik's body was found heading toward Roebling Park.

Also, investigators found Lindsay had Prusik’s bank cards the next day, when he was arrested on unrelated warrants.

Lindsay, 38, is being held in the Mercer County Correction Center in lieu of $1 million bail.
