PALATKA, Fla. (FOX NEWS) - A Florida mother says it was "stupid" she was arrested for leaving her child in a hot car while she ran in to Walmart on Sunday.
Talisha Martin explained in a Facebook rant that she went in to the store in the city of Palatka to buy a pack of toilet paper.
She admitted she left her five-year-old son in the running car with the windows up and the air on.
When she returned, she discovered bystanders had alerted sheriff's deputies who took her to jail for leaving a child unattended in a motor vehicle.
They responded in a Facebook post of their own.
