A Montgomery County man is facing child pornography charges after he allegedly sent hundreds of files to an undercover detective.
Authorities say the undercover detective found a computer “specifically configured to anonymously share files with other” and when he connected to the computer, “he electronically received 175 files of child pornography.”
The computer was traced to the home of James Edward Mugford III, 26, of Huntingdon Valley.
Mugford’s Apple MacBook computer found “2,019 images and three videos of child pornography.”
Mugford faces reduced charges: 25 counts of distribution and 50 counts of possession.
He was released in lieu of $20,000 bond.
