Volunteer John Bergen says the group wants to show that a large number of white Americans are troubled by the recent shootings of black men by police.

A stretch of downtown streets near City Hall are shut down to accommodate the protest.

The group planned other rallies Monday in Fairfax, Virginia; Portland, Oregon; Madison, Wisconsin; Louisville, Kentucky; and Hudson, New York.

They're calling for an end to violence by police against people of color, and for police departments to be held accountable.

Sunday night, a group of about 100 marchers took to Market Street and walked about 40 blocks east, from West Philadelphia to Penn’s Landing.

They were demanding justice for the two black men killed by police in Louisiana and Minnesota last week.
