2 killed in head-on crash in New Jersey

(WTXF) - Police are investigating following a head-on crash in New Jersey that killed a man and woman on Sunday night.

The incident took place just after 10 p.m. when a Ford sedan traveling eastbound struck a Scion sedan traveling westbound on Route 47.

Both drivers -- a 30-year-old woman driving the Ford and a 34-year-old man driving the Scion -- were pronounced dead at the scene.

The roadway was shut down for approximately four hours following the crash.

Authorities are still trying to determine the cause of the accident.
