2 police officers, 2 civilians hurt in violent crash

A crash between a Philadelphia police SUV and another car ended with all four people involved being sent to hospitals. Police do report their injuries were all minor.

SKYFOX was over the intersection of Frankford Avenue and Cheltenham Avenue at about 12:30pm.

Authorities said two officers were heading southbound on Frankford, responding to an "assist officer" radio call, when they were struck by the driver of a gray Toyota RAV4 traveling eastbound on Cheltenham.

According to police, the officers were taken to Temple Hospital, and are expected to be treated and released. Also, the driver and passenger in the other vehicle were taken to Frankford-Torresdale Hospital with minor injuries.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged.
