2 shot when group of people fought over a gun

BRIDESBURG (WTXF) - A man is in critical condition after he was shot on the left side of his stomach and a second person was also shot, during a fight over a gun.

It happened Thursday morning in Bridesburg, near the corner of Bridge and James streets near I-95.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley, at the scene, reports a witness called 911, telling the dispatcher 5-6 people were in the backyard of a home, fighting over the gun.

Three shots were fired, and the 27-year-old and another person were hit and taken to the hospital. The second person's condition has not been released.

Police recovered a weapon. They sealed the area off as a crime scene, and are reviewing surveillance from neighbors to see exactly what happened.

Nobody has been arrested.
