Police: 16-year-old charged in double stabbing at Center City SEPTA station

Philadelphia police say a 16-year-old has surrendered in connection with a double stabbing at a Center City SEPTA station last week.

Authorities say 16-year-old Edward Jefferson has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and related offenses.

Two 17-year-old boys were stabbed several times, including in the neck and stomach on the underground eastbound platform, according to police.
