Follow the rainbow and join the pride parties and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the LGBT civil rights movement.
Friday night hit the Festival Pier at Penn's Landing for Dumblonde. You know them from Danity Kane, plus many amazing other acts.
Then the party moves to the Gayborhood from 10 to 2, just look for the rainbow crosswalk and find the fun
Saturday brings the big ceremony at Independence Hall. From 2:30 to 3:00 Wanda Sykes will be the emcee and there's a live Jumbotron broadcast. That will be free
Around 4:00 p.m. Friday there's a VIP Cocktail Reception: Honoring James Obergefell whose case in the supreme court just changed the law on gay marriage in this country. That's at the Stratus Rooftop Lounge, on the Hotel Monaco
And of course everyone is invited to the parkway for the free Welcome America Concert on the parkway, followed by the fireworks at 11.
All week long museums will have special exhibits so folks can get their history straight, and nightlife gay. There will also be exhibits at the Free Library of Philadelphia, Liberty Bell, and African American Museum
Sunday it's the street festival in the Gayborhood noon to 6:00 p.m. with parties all night long.
