Detectives: Man, 35, Found Dead Outside Grays Ferry Rec Center

GRAYS FERRY (WTXF)- Detectives are looking for answers after a man was shot and killed in the Grays Ferry section of Philadelphia early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to the area of 29th and Wharton streets around 1:47 a.m. for a report of shots fired.

When officers arrived on scene they discovered a 35-year-old man lying face down on the ground outside of the D. Finnegan Recreation center with a head injury.

Medics arrived on scene and pronounced the man dead just after 2:00 a.m. Sunday.

No arrests have been made.
