- Police released surveillance video of two suspects in a home invasion near St. Joseph University's campus. Video recovered shows the two male suspects trying windows and doors around the house.

Police say the Saint Joseph's University student was asleep in her home, which is a few blocks from campus when she woke up just before 5 a.m. Wednesday morning to a flashlight in her eyes and two masked men in her bedroom. Police say one had a knife and another had a gun.

“They grabbed her put her in the closet and started going through her apartment,” said Southwest Detectives Lt. John Walker.

According to police, they snatched what they could, including the victim's car keys  then took things a step further.

"They take her out of the closet put duct tape on her mouth and zip ties on her arms and hands," said Lt. Walker.

The males then ordered the woman  to the rear of the house where she was able to flee to safety, according to police. Investigators say the males then took her 2006 Hyundai Sonata and fled the area.

Director of SJU Public Safety Arthur Grover says the school has increased its patrols and advises students to ask their landlords to take additional safety measures.
