SAN ANTONIO, Texas (FOX NEWS) - A mom in San Antonio made a stunning and scary find: an accused sex offender hiding under the stairs, outside her house. That led to a fight and shooting involving her son.
It was the family's barking dog who alerted the woman to suspect Leonard Trevino.
According to the arrest warrant, Trevino, 56, burst out with a gun and demanded the family let him into their home.
Investigators said Trevino beat the woman’s son on the head with a pipe-like object. Ultimately, the son shot the suspect in the face.
The son’s age has not been released.
