LANGHORNE, Pa. (WTXF) - A Bucks County youth group leader is accused of sexually assaulting teenage girls inside the church where he worked.
Michael Walusimbi, 22, of Bensalem, turned himself in to authorities on Monday. Investigators say two separate incidents occurred inside the Oxford Valley Chapel in Langhorne over the summer.
In one case, he allegedly pulled down the pants of a 13-year-old girl and exposed himself. In another case, a 15-year old girl was able to free herself, according to police.
The church released a brief statement. "We are truly deeply saddened over these recent events. We are fully cooperating with the police, and it being an ongoing investigation, can't say anything more than that. We do ask for the prayers of fellow believers for all involved," said Senior Pastor Dr. Dan Skogen.
Walusimbi is facing charges including institutional sexual assault, indecent assault, and felony corruption of a minor. He posted bail and has been released. Investigators are concerned there may be other victims and are asking them to come forward.
