CHESTER, PA. (WTXF) - Police say a half dozen people became victims of gun violence this weekend in the city of Chester.
In just 26 hours, six people were shot in five different locations between Friday night and Saturday just before midnight.
Two weekend shootings happened in the area of 6th and Lloyd Streets on Friday. The victim was a man in his 20s- shot in the chest and back, according to police.
On Saturday night, a man walking to his car heard gunfire then realized he, too, was a victim with a gunshot wound to the arm.
Both men were treated at Crozer Chester Medical Center.
Also on Saturday, near a Sunoco on the 2200 block of Edgemont Avenue, bullets sounded loudly.
Police driving nearby heard the gunshots and responded.
In video of the aftermath. a SEPTA bus is seen struck by the gunfire. Fortunately, the three passengers on board were not hurt.
Thirty minutes later, three more people were shot. This time at 10th and Tilghman streets.
Police say all six victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Now, they are asking community members to come forward with any information on possible suspects.
