3 arrested in West Philadelphia shooting

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) Police say they have made three arrests in connection with a shooting on the 100 block of South 55th Street in West Philadelphia.

The shooting happened around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators say when officers arrived they found a 25-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the stomach. He was then transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in critical condition.

Responding officers also observed in front of 100 S. 55 th Street a 24-year-old male with a gunshot wound to right leg. This male was then transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center by Police listed in stable condition.

Approximately 10 minutes after the shooting at 100 S. 55 th Street, a 15-year-old male was transported to CHOP in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound to his groin, hip and leg. The juvenile was taken into surgery in critical condition

Police say Cardell Hellams, 24, has been charged with three counts of: Attempt Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Criminal Conspiracy, VUFA and related offenses. Gary Martin, 22, was charged with: Obstructing Justice, VUFA and related offenses. Paul Kroll 21, has been charged with three counts of: Attempt Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Criminal Conspiracy, VUFA and related offenses.

Police believe the motive was an argument.
