33 dogs recovering after being found in sweltering conditions in Lancaster County

Nearly three dozen dogs are recovering after being found in sweltering conditions in what the SPCA is calling a licensed kennel.

The Pennsylvania SPCA is not showing the animals, but says they have 33 dogs that were brought in from Kirkwood in Lancaster County.

According to the SPCA, the dogs were living in extreme temperatures and had untreated medical conditions.

Among the animals found were 2 English Bulldogs, 3 female adult Goldendoodles and 24 puppies from multiple litters, among others.

Investigators even found one puppy had died.

Charges are pending.
