Police search for suspects in assault at North Philly gas station

Police are investigating an alleged assault at a Speedway gas station in North Philly.

The incident happened on November 1 at 6:30 p.m.

The victim, a 50-year-old male, was at a Speedway gas station located at 501 West Lehigh Avenue when he was involved in a physical altercation with two unknown males.

During the altercation one of the suspects hit the victim with a baseball bat, knocking him to the ground. The victim suffered head and facial injuries and was transported to Temple Hospital by medic where he is in a medically induced coma.

The suspects were operating a blue Ford F-150 extended cab, five spoke chrome rims, and faded paint on the roof. The bed of the pickup has a solid black panel on the left side, a gate on the right side, and a couch in the rear bed.
