TAMPA (FOX 13) - Little Quinn Elizabeth has passed away at just 2½ years old.
Quinn was born with a rare genetic disorder called pontocerebellar hypoplasia, or PCH. We first met her when she was just 9 months old. Her mom came on Good Day Tampa Bay to talk about Quinn's "bucket list.
In her short life, Quinn accomplished so much on that list. She traveled to several states and visited with family. She became a big fan of the Tampa Bay Rays and saw several games, and even met with the players and coaches -- who, in turn, became big fans of hers.
She also went to the Florida Aquarium and to Disney World to meet Minnie Mouse, all of which was documented on the Quinn's Bucket List Facebook page
. Her mother wrote this message Monday, shortly after Quinn's death:
"Our beautiful baby girl, Quinn Elizabeth Schiro, passed away late last night. Quinn was a blessing to our family, and we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to share her with our dearest family, friends, and even strangers. She brought a special joy to our lives and to the lives of everyone who met her. We always considered her our borrowed angel, and now she's resting peacefully in heaven."
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Schiro and Feeney families.
