76ers give VIP experience to local girl with Down syndrome

A local girl with Down syndrome had a night to remember when the Philadelphia 76ers gave her the VIP experience.

Kate Spadaro lost her mother two years ago due to cancer. She is the player-manager for the Irish girls' basketball team at Camden Catholic in New Jersey. Last month, she not only started the basketball game on Senior Night but drained an 8-foot shot. Her story captivated many including the Philadelphia 76ers.

On Friday, the 76ers gave Kate, her father and three siblings a VIP experience. The 76ers also had Kate participate in the Captain's Huddle experience prior to the 76ers defeating the Charlotte Hornets.
