PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - A number of schools have announced closings and delays Wednesday due to the impending winter storm.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the storm, which will bring accumulating snow, sleet and rain to the region.

Snow will transition to rain during the evening rush hour and into Thursday morning.
