Arizona Coyotes fan tases Glendale Mayor following City Council altercation

GLENDALE, Ariz. -(KSAZ)--An Arizona Coyotes fan who had some strong words for Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers this week got the chance to tase him as part of a fundraiser for the 100 Club of Arizona.

The mayor agreed to be tased at the "Community Supporting Cops" event at Arrowhead Mall today, but only if the community could raise $10,000 for the 100 Club, a charity supporting families of first responders.

Coyotes fan Ronda Pearson tased the mayor at the event. Earlier this week, Pearson spoke at a City Council meeting as the Council voted to terminate the arena lease with the Coyotes, but she says she left her feelings about the dispute out of today's event.

"Today was more about raising money..."

Mayor Weiers says there are no hard feelings between himself and Pearson.
