No shooter found in home after barricade situation in North Philly; 1 injured

Philadelphia police are on the scene following a barricade situation stemming from a shooting in North Philadelphia.

The shooting took place near the 1500 block of Poplar Street around 8:30 a.m., leading to a barricade situation about 10 minutes later.

Police say the shooting victim was shot in the left thigh and transported by medic personal to Hahnemann University Hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.

Authorities ended the barricade situation just before 10 a.m. after failing to find the suspected shooter inside the Poplar home.
