"It was a really good feeling. I mean every day he kept asking, 'Where's my dog, where's my dog?' and I didn't have an answer for him," said De'Shaun's mom, Gloria Williams.

Then, finally Monday night Gloria Williams was able to tell her 15-year-old son De'Shaun that his best friend Bunz had been found after two weeks on the run.

De'Shaun who has autism was devastated after the 1-year-old Pit Bull somehow slipped out of the family's house on Shepperd Road in Pennsauken, New Jersey, earlier this month. The family got Bunz last year and the playful pup has been a miracle worker.

The teen used to have difficulty communicating and expressing himself. Bunz has changed his life in the best of ways. The family posted a plea on social media and put up signs and FOX 29 did a story on the missing dog.

Gloria says her son is overjoyed to be back with his best buddy.

"When he finally saw De'Shaun, he licked and jumped and rubbed and loved. And by the end of the night, they were back loving each other again," Gloria said.

This is the man who found Bunz, Keith Jones, said he was keeping an eye out for him like so many others in the community.

"He found me on Rosemont Ave,and he ran up on me," Keith Jones explained.

It's unclear where Bunz has actually been; however, the family is happy he is home. They're getting Bunz micro-chipped and a good collar with his name and phone number. They say they will be keeping a very close eye on this precious pup from now on.
