Bristol Borough, Pa. (WTXF) - Police say they are investigating a hit-and-run in Bristol Borough.
"He was apparently coming home from work, and you know, just about there and this tragedy happened," Amy Reed said.
Suddenly, an emotional holiday season for Amy Reed of Bristol Borough knowing her neighbor 52- year-old Kevin Williams was killed in a hit-and-run while riding his bike Tuesday night.
"I had talked to his wife and she's very, very shaken up at this point. Really beside herself, doesn't know what to do and the kids, they've very distraught as well."
Bristol Borough police say Kevin Williams was hit at Bristol Pike and Corson Street around 8 p.m. Tuesday night. Cops say they are looking for a silver Mercedes Benz AMG that took off northbound on Route 13, leaving behind a silver front end plate with an Eagle on it.
"I know the kids birthdays are around towards the end of this month and it's just sad, very sad," Reed said.
The victim's house is now dark, which is a contrast to the joy represented in the Christmas lights on neighboring homes.
Reed hopes the person who hit Kevin does the right thing.
"It's unfathomable. I just don't understand, you know, it's somebody's life. It was an accident? You need to take accountability and I certainly hope if they don't turn themselves in that somebody else does because justice needs to be done for Kevin," she said.
