Boil water advisory issued for some business owners in East Pikeland Township

Chester County, Pa. (WTXF) The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection issuing a boil water advisory for some business owners in Chester County.

This after E.coli was detected in a sample of raw water, that had not yet been treated.

The Pikeland Village Square in East Pikeland is now required to provide alternative water to their customers until that boil water advisory is lifted. The DEP says crews will disinfect a nearby well.

If all goes well, the advisory will be lifted if all tests for E.coli are negative for two consecutive days.
