Camera Hack: Mom finds live stream of young daughters' bedroom online
(FOX NEWS)- A Houston mother is warning all parents after discovering that hackers had infiltrated the surveillance cameras in her young daughters' bedroom.
A live stream of the bedroom of her 8-year-old twin daughters made its way online through an app called Live Camera Viewer for IP Cams.
The mother said an Oregon woman saw the live stream and posted on a Houston Facebook page in an effort to alert the family.
The camera systems allow parents to stream the feed through their home WI-FI, then keep an eye on their kids at all times through a device or phone.
The mom believes the hacker was able to gain access by figuring out the family's IP address while her daughters played online video games.
