Car crashes into home in Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) SkyFOX was over the scene where a vehicle crashed into a home on the 6400 block of Algon Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say a 33-year-old man operating a 2012 black Nissan was traveling at a high rate of speed. According to police, the man lost control of his vehicle and landed on the lawn and struck the property.

The man sustained minor injuries(scrapes and bruises to his arms and legs) and there is structural damage to the property (cracks at the base ). The home was unoccupied at the time .

Police say the man is being arrested for DUI.
