Cherry Hill man among ten sailors missing after warship collision

Navy divers are still searching for missing sailors from a warship collision early Monday morning, including one man from Cherry Hill.

Naval officials announced they did find remains of some of them in their search today; however, no bodies have been identified.

The USS John S. McCain collided with an oil tanker early Monday morning off the coast of Singapore tearing a gaping hole in the ship and flooding certain rooms.

Kenneth Smith is among the ten sailors missing. Smith's mom had posted on her Facebook page asking everyone to keep hope that her son is found.

This is the second major collision in two months for the Pacific fleet. The Navy has announced an investigation into the fleets performance and readiness.
