Christmas Village returns to Love Park after being moved for construction last year

One day after Thanksgiving and Center City is all decked out for the holidays.

A city tradition, Christmas Village, opened at Love Park yesterday.

About 80 shops are now open for business through Christmas Eve.

Christmas Village is once again back at Love Park after construction at the park last year moved it to City Hall.

Park construction isn't completely gone, and some vendors worry it could scare away customers.

"This is not what we expected. Especially, we were disappointed with the construction is not done, and false promises, the city said it's gonna be done by time. It's not done," said one of the vendors, Mike Nijim.

Other vendors don't expect customers to shy away and say the new grounds actually make walking through the park safer.

Last year, more than 750-thousand people paid a visit to Christmas Village.
