Coast Guard searching for missing 73-year-old sailor

Cape Henry, Va. (WTXF) - The Coast Guard is searching for a missing 73-year-old sailor.

According to officials, Joseph Calland, a 73-year-old French sailor, was reported as overdue after issuing a mayday call about 45 miles southeast of Cape Henry, Virginia on July 30.

Calland was last seen in Beaufort, North Carolina and was reportedly sailing toward New York City in the 39-foot sailboat Nennette.
