Police Search for Suspect in Shooting of Convenience Store Clerk

Willingboro N.J. (WTXF) Police say a convenience store clerk was fatally shot outside a business in Willingboro, New Jersey, around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday night.

Police were called after a report of shots fired in the area of the Quick N Go convenience store on the 100 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Police found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. According to the investigation, the suspect entered the store and shortly afterward the suspect and the victim exited to the parking lot, where it is believed the shooting occurred. The victim was taken to Lourdes Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Police say the victim was identified as Matthew Mwinsori, 32, of Willingboro.

The suspect was captured by the store's video surveillance system. According to police, the suspect is believed to be a black male who is in his twenties or thirties, stands 5-feet-6 inches to 5-feet-9 inches tall, with a medium to heavy build. Police say he was wearing a black mask that covered the top half of his face, a light-colored hoodie under a blue/gray sweater or sweatshirt and red sneakers.

So far, no arrests have been made.
