Cop Rescues Driver as Fire Starts in Crashed SUV

(STORYFUL) A Corpus Christi police officer witnessed an SUV crashing into a wall on the city's Crosstown Expressway on February 22, local police said.

Noticing that smoke was coming from under the hood, the officer then went to the vehicle, broke the window with his baton, and pulled to safety the vehicle's driver, a 29-year-old man, police said.

The vehicle, a Chevy Suburban, was soon engulfed in flames, police said.
