Cops: Knife-Wielding Naked Burglar Gets Into Bed With Sleeping Homeowner

A knife-wielding burglar took off all his clothes and straddled a sleeping homeowner, who woke up, got his gun and fired three rounds at the attacker, Oregon police said.

The resident woke up when the nude attacker kissed him, according to authorities.

Richard Dean Defuedis, 32, broke into a Portland home and entered the bedroom of a man and a woman asleep, police said.

He took off his clothes and climbed on top of the man, straddling him, police said. The suspect held a knife as he kissed the male resident, who woke up and managed to throw off his attacker, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

The intruder was able to get his pants back on and ran, authorities said. The resident, who had a gun in the house, grabbed the weapon and fired off three shots as Defuedis, who was not hit, fled down the street, police said.

The man ran into a vacant house, where police later found him and arrested him, authorities said.

Defuedis faces charges including first-degree burglary, first degree sexual abuse and unlawful use of a weapon. He was arraigned Friday and pleaded not guilty, Multnomah County District Attorney's Office spokesman Todd Jackson told INSIDE EDITION.

Defuedis was represented by a public defender, Jackson said.

He is being held at the Multnomah County Jail in lieu of $310,000, police said.
