Del. woman arrested after fraudulent medical marijuana applications submitted to her business

A Delaware woman has been arrested after fraudulent medical marijuana applications were submitted to a Delaware business.

Carolan Krajewski, the owner of the business, was taken into custody without incident Friday.

The Delaware State Police Financial Crimes Unit opened an investigation in May after they received a tip regarding fraudulent activity taking place at the Lewes, Del. business Delaware Holistic Medicine. The Medical Marijuana Compliance Program was also contacted.

Authorities say it was discovered, during the investigation, that medical marijuana applications had been submitted with phony signatures in the doctor sections of the applications.

A search warrant was executed June 1 and Krajewski was arrested, according to investigators.

Authorities say the investigation is active.
