Delaware official proposes ending daylight saving time

Delaware senator David McBride proposed legislation on Tuesday to do away with changing back and forth from standard to daylight saving time. He claims changing clocks twice a year is a hassle and is proven to have adverse health effects.

The bill will move Delaware from the Eastern Time Zone to the Atlantic Time Zone.

Our own Dr. Mike has gone on the record about this very issue.

"You mess up those circadian rhythms that's what we think increases risk of stroke, heart attacks and a lot of other problems we see," Dr. Mike told FOX 29's Jennifer Joyce.

"I don't know one person who likes moving their clocks forward and back," Sen. McBride said. "It's more than an annoyance, frankly. It's a social experiment that has produced more harm than good and is now on the verge of becoming a public health issue."
