Delaware police find gun, drugs during search of probationer's residence

Police have arrested a man in Delaware after they found guns and drugs during a probation search of his residence in Dagsboro.

Police say David Tharp was in possession of approximately 14.49 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a semi-automatic handgun and amunition, and over $500 in suspected drug proceeds.

Due to his probation, Tharp is prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition.

Tharp has been charged with multiple crimes, and was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $4,600 bond.
