DelCo man faces felonies for 'possession and dissemination of child pornography'

A Delaware County man is facing some serious felony child porn charges.

The District Attorney's Office reports Walter Timothy Irwin of Upper Chichester was "possessing and disseminating child pornography that included images of a female child in Lion King pajamas between 8-10 years of age engaging in a sex act with an adult male."

Members of the Delaware County Internet Crimes Task Force and the FBI executed a search warrant at his home on suspicion of child pornography, back on June 7.

They say Irwin, 42, and his wife were there and "he told detectives he wanted to speak with them upstairs. He then admitted to possessing child pornography on his computer at several points in time but told detectives that he removed the file sharing program from his computer."

A forensic examination found 39 images and 11 videos on Irwin's devices confirmed to be child pornography. One showed a girl approximately 5-8 years old performing oral sex on an adult male.

Irwin is charged with possession and dissemination of child pornography, sexual abuse of a child, and criminal use of a communications facility. All are felonies.

He is out of jail on bail, but placed on electronic home monitoring with GPS. Also, he was ordered to surrender his passport, have no internet access, no contact with minors and to complete a psychological and sexual evaluation.
