Dog Accidentally Runs Half Marathon, Places Seventh

Ludivine's grand entrance to half marathon running!

(FOX NEWS) A dog who wandered away from her yard became the unwitting participant of a local half marathon -- and finished seventh place.

Ludivane had been let out by her owner to relieve herself and ended up on the path of runners in the Elkmont Half Marathon in Alabama.

The hound trotted alongside other runners all the way to the finish line. At the time, owner April Hill had no idea what had happened to Ludivane. She actually got the news from Facebook when she started seeing pictures of her hound with a medal around her neck.

"This is Ludivane - she ran the entire half marathon and finished 7th overall with a time of 1.32.56," the post said.
