PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Travelers at Philadelphia International Airport Friday morning were having an easier time getting to their destinations.
Early airport travel at Philadelphia International was relatively smooth. People traveling reported some short security lines and wait times of an hour or under. Overall, lines were moving smoothly.
Airport officials encourage all travelers to arrive early, allowing extra time for traveling to the airport, parking and getting through security.
AAA reports December 21 as the busiest traveling day of the season. Be sure to follow airport and TSA requirements for travel, which should reduce the stress that often accompanies holiday travel.
Busy travel day underway. Allow extra time to get to the airport and at the airport to park, check in, security screening. Very ugly weather day with periods of heavy rain, gusty winds. Be sure to check flight status with your airline before coming to the airport.— PHLAirport (@PHLAirport) December 21, 2018
