Eight-year-old boy robs store at gunpoint

West Palm Beach (WTXF) On Wednesday in West Palm Beach, a convenience store clerk was held at gunpoint by an eight-year-old boy.

Police are reporting that an attempted armed robbery of a King Foods and Meat Bazaar occurred on Wednesday. The perpetrator is said to be an eight year old boy.

The clerk stated that the boy simply walked into the store, and demanded money. The boy had the gun stashed under his sweater and pulled it out as he made his demands. The cashier describes the boy as wearing a motorcycle helmet, and a scarf that covered his mouth, leaving only his eyes visible.

The clerk told an interviewer that he wasn't sure how to react to the situation because he was unsure if the gun was real or not. With a little quick thinking, he was able to disarm the boy and his coworker was able to grab him.

The gun was said to have been stolen from the boy's mother.
