Elderly stranger pays for another man's groceries in an act of solidarity

An elderly stranger paid for a man's groceries in a moment of solidarity, and the experience is going viral on Facebook.

Comedian Sampson McCormick met an elderly man, who he now calls Mr. Samuel, in line at the grocery store.

McCormick, who is black, and Mr. Samuel, who is white, began talking about race relations in America in the checkout line.

Mr. Samuel "apologized for racism and brutality in this country" before offering to pay for McCormick's groceries, according to the Facebook post.

McCormick was so touched by Mr. Samuel's generosity and kindness that he decided to share the story on Facebook along with a photo of the two of them.
